I build things that work.
Fullstack developer. Integration architect. Currently building products for Philippine SMEs at Tulay Tech. Previously shipping ERP integrations, e-commerce platforms, and data pipelines at startups and agencies.
about
A bit about me
I'm Alysstair — a fullstack developer based in the Philippines with 4+ years of building production systems that actually ship.
I've spent most of my career in the messy middle of software: connecting ERPs to e-commerce platforms, building data pipelines that don't fall over at 3am, and making systems talk to each other when they really don't want to. I've worked with Acumatica, Cin7, Shopify, and BigCommerce — sometimes all in the same project.
Right now I'm building Tulay Tech, a one-person product studio focused on business software for Philippine small businesses. The first product, Paagos, is an AI-native accounting platform built on Cloudflare Workers, PlanetScale, and a two-tier AI architecture that I designed from scratch.
Before that, I was at Four13 Group designing integration systems for US e-commerce clients, at Prosperna building backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS platform serving 1,000+ merchants, and doing contract work on everything from dating apps to Shopify storefronts.
I like hard infrastructure problems, fast teams, and shipping things that people actually use. I don't have a CS degree — I studied Political Science — and I think that's made me a better engineer. I learned to build by building.
When I'm not coding, I'm probably doing water changes for my ranchu goldfish. They're more work than most microservices.
current focus
What I'm building now
Tulay Tech is my product studio. The name means "bridge" in Filipino — and that's what we're building: bridges between Philippine small businesses and the software tools they actually need.
The first product is Paagos, an AI-native accounting SaaS designed specifically for Philippine SMEs. It's not a localized version of QuickBooks — it's built from the ground up for how small businesses here actually operate.
the stack behind it
- Hono on Cloudflare Workers (single server, edge-first)
- PlanetScale Postgres for the data layer
- TanStack Start on Cloudflare Pages for the frontend
- Two-tier AI: invisible AI (open-source models via Workers AI) for automation, active AI (frontier models via Mastra) for user-facing intelligence
The product lineup also includes tools for HR, personal finance, EHR, inventory management, CRM, and B2B e-commerce — all planned to run on the same infrastructure. None of them are built yet. I believe in being honest about that.

Things I've shipped
Multi-Tenant Custom Pricing System
Revamped a custom pricing ETL platform — hybrid serverful/edge approach with self-hosted Inngest, Cloudflare Workers for public routes, and PlanetScale. Designed to cut $1K–$7K/month serverless costs to ~$400 total. Code handed off to Four13, not yet deployed.
Incremental Migration & Integration App
Self-hosted migration platform connecting any two data sources — Shopify, BigCommerce, Cin7 — with support for 90,000+ record migrations. Development stopped, project archived.
Paagos — AI-Native Accounting SaaS
Designing and building an accounting platform for Philippine small businesses with a two-tier AI architecture.
Matchmake Pro — Dating App Overhaul
Parachuted into an existing codebase, audited backend and frontend, resolved critical bugs, and integrated PayPal payments. Ongoing engagement resuming April 2026.
For Goodness Sake — Shopify Storefront
Custom Shopify theme designed and developed from scratch. Fully responsive, performance-optimized, no paid theme as a starting point.
career
Where I've worked
Founder — Tulay Tech
Mar 2026 – PresentRemote, Philippines
Building a product studio targeting Philippine SMEs with business software. Currently developing Paagos, an AI-native accounting SaaS. Sole architect and engineer across infrastructure, backend, frontend, and AI systems.
Associate Developer II — Four13 Group
Jan 2025 – Apr 2026Remote
Designed and built backend integration solutions connecting Acumatica ERP with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Cin7) for US-based clients in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and construction. Built advanced data-mapping systems, durable data pipelines, and ETL processes. Architected infrastructure improvements projected to reduce compute costs by 90%.
Shopify Theme Developer — For Goodness Sake
Feb 2026 – Mar 2026Remote, Contract
Custom Shopify storefront from scratch using Liquid, Tailwind CSS, and DaisyUI. Performance-optimized, fully responsive.
Full Stack Engineer — Matchmake Pro
Nov 2025 – PresentRemote, Contract
Audited and stabilized a Next.js + Supabase application. Refactored data access patterns, resolved critical bugs, and integrated PayPal payment workflows. Ongoing engagement.
Backend Developer — Prosperna
Feb 2024 – Jan 2025Philippines
Started as a backend engineer on a multi-tenant e-commerce SaaS serving 1,000+ merchants, then grew into a dual role across both the product team and enterprise team. On the product side, I built core platform features — discount engines, dynamic templates, product review systems. On the enterprise side, I maintained and shipped custom-coded solutions for individual clients. Optimized SQL queries to cut response times by 40%, built admin dashboards with real-time data and VoIP integrations, and led onboarding that got new engineers shipping in their first week.
Freelance Web Developer
Mar 2021 – Aug 2023Remote
Delivered 20+ production websites and web applications for small businesses. Full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance.
